How we conduct our Tasting Events: The typical format for our tasting events is to supply you a pen, wine glass and wine diary as you enter the selected venue on the evening of the tasting. The Tasting Diary we have constructed is a great way to chart the wines you taste and to score your wines. It also makes a great shopping list later on when stocking up your cellar or wine bar. Besides great wines, social attendee's and atmosphere, we always have tasty appetizers at our events to complement the selected wines. Join us at our next event!
About us:
Formed in 1999, the Chicago Wine Council assembles monthly, assisting the Clubs listed above with best practices on presentation, education, venue selection and wine picks. The Board Members are key in creating tasting events and managing our growth and Member education.
In general, the Council guides the various Chicago Clubs on the proper approach to wine tastings events and advises on what wines are to be presented to all Members and Guests. The Council plays a significant role in keeping the events positive and rewarding on all levels.
Membership to all Tasting Clubs is FREE . . . we only ask Members and Friends to attend our Monthly Tasting Events to support us in our continued efforts to keep you informed and educated about wines available to you.
Who can join?
Anyone and everyone can join our Tasting Club! We cater to the Wine Curious and the Wine Educated. Our Members are social, looking to network, learn about wines in general and like to explore the various venues that Chicago offers. How to sign up? . . .just fill out the Member box at the top and you will be added to our Member list, receiving our wine news and specials by email.

Our wine tastings are interactive, fun and provide education while tasting great and unique wines.
Freely roaming the various tasting stations, you can sample the many wines we have themed our event around. The tasting stations will have experts in the wines being served and will handle your questions besides point out what you should focus on when sampling. You can sample as often as you like and ask as many questions as you care.
